Map WHO WE ARE: The Eastern Shore Senior Providers Network (ESSPN) is a non-profit (section 501.C6) regional network forum whose members provide products, services and programs for the Delmarva Peninsula's growing senior population. Networking events, newsletter and website access, marketing and referral of members are among the benefits of joining ESSPN.

WHAT WE DO: ESSPN serves the senior adult community on Delmarva by promoting public awareness of senior-oriented businesses, services, government and nonprofit agencies; and by advocating public understanding and appreciation of senior interests in such areas as health care, employment, housing, transportation and law.

ESSPN also is a highly active professional network whose members share leads, ideas, and information in the interest of improving their knowledge base and skills in serving the "50+" market. Senior providers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and Delaware are invited to four meetings each year - September, November, March and May - to hear speakers present information on a variety of topics relevant to senior living and doing business in the senior market. Recent topics have included: effective techniques for marketing to seniors, universal design in home building, becoming a Certified Senior Advisor, assistive technology for independent living, hearing loss and treatment, programs offered through Maryland Aging Corporation and Upper Shore Aging, safety issues for older drivers in Maryland, and many others.

OUR PARTNERS: Creating strong relationships with Upper Shore Aging, Guide to Retirement Living, and various county commissions, nonprofit agencies, service organizations and professional networks, ESSPN is becoming widely known as a source of information and assistance to seniors and their families.

OUR SERVICE: Every year, ESSPN supports a nonprofit cause or program that benefits the elderly population on Delmarva. In 2006, ESSPN sponsored a free informational open house showcasing Mid-Shore nonprofit and government organizations whose resources are devoted to serving seniors and their families. In 2007, the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Maryland received $1,000 from ESSPN and four members participated in the Salisbury "Memory Walk," which raised more than $50,000.Projects to benefit ESSPN sponsorship during 2008 are presently under consideration.

JOIN NOW! As a volunteer and nonprofit organization now in its third year, ESSPN is developing new initiatives and expanding its outreach to Delaware and the Lower Shore counties of Maryland as well as the Mid-and Upper Shore. For those serving growing senior market on the Eastern Shore peninsula, ESSPN is an invaluable resource for success!!
